Social Studies Cube Project

Don’t forget each student’s cube about the southwestern or western state is due on Tuesday, April 17th.  This is an at-home project so you can help your child with ideas, editing, etc., but everything written or drawn on the project should be done by your 4th grader.  Looking forward to enjoying their creativity on the 17th.

Weekly Folder

Please ask your child for the Weekly Green Folder that’s sent home on Tuesdays.  There are often important handouts enclosed.  Your child’s graded work is always included.  Please take a few minutes to go through the papers with your child.  Keep the papers and handouts at home, unless they need to be signed and returned.  Also, sign the slip in the front of the folder and return it to school with your child on Wednesday.   I really count on this as an important way for us to keep in touch about how your child is doing in school.   Thank you so much for your support!!

Ch. 3 Science Test

The test will be on Tuesday, September 13th.  Tonight, your 4th grader should be studying his/her vocabulary flash cards at home.  Tomorrow, the textbook and notes packet will be brought home to use for studying on Thursday night and over the weekend.  The test will have matching, multiple choice, and fill in the blank questions.  The students will also need to draw and label a diagram as well as write a short essay.   It’s really important to study for at least 15 – 20 minutes each night for this test.  Use the Study Guide that was sent home on Tuesday for more study tips.
